Choose the final domain and HTTPS address before installing.

Steps

Confirm DNS and SSL/TLS Status.
Open WordPress Manager or the installer supplied in cPanel.
Choose https://, the domain, and an empty directory; leave Directory blank for the main site.
Create a new administrator with a unique username, strong password and external email.
Install, sign in at /wp-admin, set title, timezone and permalinks, then remove unused themes and plugins.

Verify the result

Open the site and /wp-admin over HTTPS and take the first backup.

Important: Never use admin as the username or install into public_html/wordpress by accident.
